standard VY body upgrade
hey,
im a massive amatuer and looking to make my standard vy ute look a little better.
i was looking to simply change the front bar, side skirts, rear bumper to that of the vy ss.
i was just wondering if it is a simple process and how much i would be looking at for all the parts, and whether i should buy them brand new or shop around.
any help would be good help.

Ring Holden first to get a feel for how much shit would be, have a heart attack when you hear the price then hang up.
ebay would be a good place to actually start shopping around. also keep an eye out on the For sale section in this forum as there's some good stuff that goes cheap. Sometimes....good luck
Also check the local wreckers for parts. Haggle with them too.

cheers, i opted to keep the standard body, but changed the front headlights to the ss black headlights,
i put 18's on it and currently looking to lower it, i bought kings SSL for the rear and SL, for the front, to even it out but dont want to put them on yet,
as i think i may need shocks and was looking at monroe gt low shocks.
how does this sound are the shocks necessary?
also i wanted to put the ss style brake light above the cabin but dont know what its called, so i cant search it.
any help would be greatly appreciated and ill get some picks up v. soon.

i found out that there sailplanes btw
you will need shocks with sl and especally ssl. standard shocks will bottom out
this is it with the ssl in the rear and sl in the front.
pretty happy with it.
got monroe gt shocks and struts too.
