Quick Background:
In September I brought a '04 VY SS II Auto ute with Standard LS1, Frontmount Intercooler, with twin turbo kit, dyno tune'd standard ECU, Larger injectors and upgraded valve springs & keepers, 4L65E 4 speed from LS2. Been dyno'd @ 295RWKW. And new set of Bridgestone Potenza Adrenilen"s 245/45/18'5 (great tyres IMO)
Issue:
When I pull away from an intersection (foot to the floor) it hooks first and takes off untill it hits boost (aprox 3000 rpm), spins the wheels to redline and jumps into 2nd gets traction till boost comes on and starts to fry the rears again (this is where the issue is), once it reaches redline it hesitates 4 a second and then carries on to the rev limiter, where it stayes till i take my foot off the go fast pedal, b4 it kicks up to 3rd. My question is does any 1 think this could be a ECU problem or is the gearbox being over powered? (unable to change up). Dose any1 know what this gear-box can handle? Would a shift kit have any effet on the problem? I would love to put it down the qurter-mile but theres no point when i have to button off half way down. Any thoughts, ideas would be appreticated.
If i get chance i'll upload a vid if any1 thinks it'll help.
cheers
JJ

Ok, cool thanx. Any idea what kind of power this gear box can handle? would it be worth doing a shift kit?

Shift kits are nice but at that much power, if your going to flog the gearbox a lot (and with a TT SS why wouldn't you?) I would recommend a rebuild with stronger bits.
