VY Instrument cluster change over
Hi, I have a VY Equipe 2003 6 cyl and want to fit a VY Calais 6 cyl instrument cluster as the equipe is boring and plane. Q. Can this be done? Your help would be appreciated. Cheers ... Mike ... Grafton NSW.

Yes is can, u just need to get the calais cluster reprogrammed.

It needs to be from the same series because your fuel gauge will work in reverse on the VY, i think the VY series 2 and the VZ are the same but im not sure

No, as mentioned plug colours are different therefore they wont work.

u will need the side airbags (srs) disabled on the cluster.
if you are in syd, talk to Greg (phreddy), he can do this, and i believe make a s2 fuel gauge go in reverse? but dont quote me on that

I had the hsv dash put into my v6 base model ute. HSV had to program it as holden wouldn't touch it.
even with the base model single airbag body control module, they got it to work perfect.
they calibrated the fuel tank size, engine revs etc. and made it work with only 1 airbag.
It must be the same series as your car. otherwise fuel gauge will be reversed.
