i have a cammed vy ss that has a few issues atm. it has a mafless tune done by powertorque engines, when it was tuned it didnt have the hi stall in it which they had to play with the air/fuel ratios down low as to keep the car idle when put in drive. Now i have a hi stall thrown in with a rebuilt box and having a few issues. when im cruising at say 50 or 60km/h the cars revs fluctuate approx 100rpm up and down. once i get to speed and it locks into overdrive im pretty sure it stops. could it need a retune or does this sound like the stally flaring. Is this normal or does it sound like a dodgy stally?
will be ringing powertorque on monday, just curious as to what you guys think.
cheers,
If the only thing that has changed in your set up since the tune is a high stall and rebuilt box, chances are the tune will need some adjustment to suit the stall. It depends on how high a stall you went for. Usually up to 2600-2800rpm can be accomodated by the stock tune but since you have a custom tune now who knows how the tuner has set up the shift settings.
What stall speed is the stall at?
