What's better air shockers and standard ones?

Can anyone tell me what they think? We have air shocks and one needs replacing, it's cheaper to cahnge them over to standard ones we have been quoted $370 to have air one replaced or $340 for standard. So which is better. We don't tow so don't need to adjust for that.

If you dont tow, stay with standards, but $340.00 sounds a bit rich

That would be to change over as we have air shocks at present.

At a guess $130 max each + labour, but then again I would do it myself as its a 30 minute job
