Is it really worth paying the extra $ for the genuine holden front Bar rather than an ebay after market one?
What's your opinion on something like this : Holden VY SS front bumper bar NEW - eBay Bumper Bars, Exterior, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 22-Dec-09 16:21:46 AEDST)
I've kept my eye on ebay recently for a 2nd hand bar genuine and they're going for roughly double the price of the fake ones.

Aftermarket, once its painted no one would know the difference.
Genuine would be the way to go if you have the money to spend, but sometimes aftermarket arent much different, especially like someone already said, once you paint it you wont know. The link that you have up shows that the item is actually from a store, not just some random dude, so he would have a half decent rep i guess. At the end of the day the choice is yours. If i had loads of cash, genuine, but if i just wanted something to get a little bit street cred, aftermarket.
Thanks for your help guys, like i said i've been looking around for a genuine bar for a while, the ones that pop up on ebay don't last long and its near impossible to find one at a wrecker..
And after speaking with holden they said a brand new one would be $1350..
So i'll def be going for the $200 after market one.

I reckon you are going the right way about it, plus even if you got an original, i doubt it would be painted, so add an extra couple of hundred dollars on top. If you do get that bar from ebay, let me know how the fit up goes, cause i have been watching them for a while aswell, as i am wanting the same thing, but there is one with the lights for an extra $50-$100.
Cheers
