hey all
considering getting some new 19's for my 2003 VY Acclaim Series 2. I was thinking something like B.Boss Eleanor or similar. I originally didnt want something that every man and his dog had but I am having trouble finding it. any suggestions would be great and if you could also post some pics up of your car that would be awesome. I havent got any pics of my VY on the comp yet but its blue with kings SL's front and kings SSSL's rear (changing to SSL's). anyone know if I would still have to roll the rear guards if I changed to SSL's? cheers

Konig - Lace
INNAWE (in awe)
Noun 1. awe - an overwhelming feeling of wonder or admiration; "he stared over the edge with a feeling of awe"
2. awe - a feeling of profound respect for someone or something; "the fear of God"; "the Chinese reverence for the dead"; "the French treat food with gentle reverence"; "his respect for the law bordered on veneration"
Hey mate check out my thread below. Im on 19s and on SSL's all round, don't think there will be a need for you to roll the guards. I am actually looking to get some SSSL's for my rears to sack it a bit more.

To have SSSL's in the rear you will need to roll your gaurds. SSL's you may get a scrap here n there. Thats on Kings.

i asked daniel a heap of questions about mine when i did it.. i ended up getting sl front and ssl rear king spring site perfect its on 19inh sigs and i can have a full boot load and a full car load and not one scrape!!
thanks mate. yeh i want to be able to put a bit of weight in the back without scraping all the time. im on 17's at the moment with SSSL kings and it scrapes on bumpy rds with the slightest bit of weight in the back but i dont have my guards rolled. got any pics of your car with SSL's mate?
Yeah i think that might be right coz i have noticed that SSL Kings look a lil lower. With wheel choice it can be a tough one but in the end it comes down to what your after. With light coloured cars i quite like the look of VE SSV wheels in 19s, especially white VYs. Each to their own i guess. Good luck with it

yeh so maybe if you only wanna go a bit lower try kings SSL before SSSL pedders, it an option i guess. yeh your right everyones into different rims. i guess i was just looking for people to chuck a few rims up here that i may not have seen yet. cheers for your help with the springs though mate
any other suggestions or opinions guys? feel free to post some pics up
Sorry to get back so late, Well i did mine all myself, With my Uncle (He owns a Tyrepower).
Yeah, Get abit of ground issues, Some speed humps can be bad, But ive only gone over 1-3 that have scraped abit. Basically, if you want it that low you really have to give up going semi fast over bumps and def trying to avoid potholes.
Wheels i have, 19's on 245/35/19. And with the gaurds, It really depends on the offset too. Cant remember what mine was.

thanks for getting back to me. i have been quoted $70 each side for rolling guards. i thought that was a bit steep but i wouldnt know really.
i have SSSL's now and i have a ground clearance issues on 17's. when i get 19's would it make any difference with ground clearance or be exactly the same? i'm thinking SSL's might be the better option but i like the look of SSSL's haha.
still very undecided on what wheels to go for. do u know of anywhere in melbourne that are relatively cheap?
I rolled my gaurds myself, Its easy. I used a heatgun and a round peice of wood (From a tree) and it turned out perfectaly, No cracks or anything because you can go at the pace you want, And u can tell when ur bending the gaurds to far.
Yeah, 17's you would have clearance issues, 19s should fix it. But depending on what ur calling clearance issues.
If you like the look of SSSL's, Then putting SSL's and 19's on, I dont think you'll like it. However, If you want to keep the 17's, Then the SSL's are the way to go.
Dont just go into any shop and go, I want them in the window. Search around on the Net for some decent ones, with 19, u dont have alot of options, well u do. but alot of wheels come 18,20,22 these days.

yeh i just dont really have the equipment or place to do much work on my car at the moment. oh well guess i'll have to lash out haha
i love the look of SSSL's but having a fair bit of trouble with ground clearance thats the only reason i'm going SSL's. i might keep the SSSL's until i put 19's on and see how i go.
yeh i have been looking heaps on the net just having trouble deciding. i do love the b.boss eleanors. think they would look awesome, just trying to find a good price.
Yeah, Def keep the SSSL's, because i lowered my car before i put the wheels on, I had SSL's and SL's in the front on stockies and it looked a good height, Put the 19's on and hated the height. So i went lower.
You dont need any equitment. I used a Jack, Heatgun, Wood. Lol.
My 2003 VY Holden Commodore
Your car comes with a jack. Unless you have removed it. Lol.
Yeah, Not a great pic. But it sat around there on the rears.

does anyone know where I can pick up some relatively cheap 19" B.Boss Eleanors or PDW HB-R or know anyone that has them for sale?
