it would physically fit, but it's going to look shit - there's going to be a big gap around it as the hole is a bit bigger than double din.

Is there a pocket kit that would make a 2-DIN stereo fit comfortably

unless you get an aftermarket adapter (roughly $200) they won't work.

Like one_and_only2004 said it will definitely fit but probably won't look the best. With the double-din fascia you can get them from Autobarn. That's where i got mine from and was able to find the matching colour to my interior.

eBay My World - sjsinstalls When that store is selling parts for the conversion i definatly reccomend them. Great seller, has grey or black kits that match the interior colour perfectly.

Just keep in mind, just to install the double DIN head unit you'll need:
    Double Din Fascia Adaptor
    European Aerial Adaptor
and if you dont want to destroy your wiring: a wiring harness
and if you dont want to make your own tools: Stereo removal tools

SJSInstalls sells all of these and the stereo removal tools come with handy instructions too if you need them.

If you want your head unit to work with with stereo controls, you'll need something like a CAT10.

I heard you can get them cheaper on ebay. Its a total rip off. $200 for a converter. Markup must be 500%

If you want a facia kit for a single din kit then go to supercheap and use the part number fp9046.... they are roughly $50 - $60 delivered...they need to be ordered.... imo it was the best facia kit i could find from supercheap

personally I wouldnt bother getting a new head unit, get an AUX input installed instead, you"ll hardly see it and you can hook your ipod up to it which has way more songs, if your looking for more power from your head unit your better off running your speakers off an amp from your stock head unit as the blaupunkt headunits are pretty damn good, just spend about 250 on fronts and another 300 on back speakers and you will have some very crisp sound if u hook em up to an amp

ASR Audio & Electronics - Just Commodores

I'm getting 4 channel rca output and aux in from phreddy on my factory head unit so i can run clean sound to front speakers through amp and the other channel for sub. Costing me $260 you can send the unit to him, he'll do the conversion and send it back, simple as that
