Hey guys, picked my car up today, freaking stoked, got my wheels on it already, just one problem ive noticed so far...not a massive concern but a concern none the less. I start it on ULP, then switch to LPG..and my traction control turns off...if i switch back to ULP it doesnt switch back on unless i hit the T/C button, so basically i cant use T/C when running on LPG. I'm pretty sure this shouldnt be happening and they"ve probly wired it dodgily through the T/C electrics or somthing, but does anybody know anything about it..or how i could get it fixed?

Open your glove box and you will see a book its your manual read it about LPG and T/C. If you have factory LPG then its ment to turn off T/C when running LPG. Its done so you dont blow your airbox to bits when T/C cuts in but cant remember if its ment to come back on when changing back to ULP with out looking in side my glove box myself and having a read about it again. I have aftermarket LPG and my T/C dont change as mine was not setup that way.
thanks man, pretty sure mine isnt factory though, its dual fuel and it was installed roughly 8 months ago so i thought it a bit strange, im not too fussed to be honest cos the only time ill really have to worry about T/C is when i wanna gun it...in which case ill probly switch to ULP while i do that anyway haha...ah well..still freakin happy as

I talked to my mate yesterday and apparently they do it with most LPG systems, n yeah it was so the airbox doesnt get blown, because apparently T/C cuts the fuel usage automatically and that cant be done with gas n so it"ll harm the car if u have T/C on LPG

Yeah its got to do with that VY uses a mixer system so the fuel can't be cut straight away, whereas with petrol, the computer can cut the petrol straight away through the injectors.
My dad's VT and VY both disable T/C when using LPG. His VE doesn't however as it is fitted with injection.
