VY audio steering wheels controls

Hi there - 1st time poster.

My volume controls on my VY S2 steering wheel are turning the volume up instead of down and mute when I want to turn the volume up.

Anyone else had this problem?

Didn't notice the fault until I bought the car. Will changing the controls fix this or should I play around with the wiring?

LOL! Mate this is about THE most common fault with the VY's! Mine has been doing it for a few years, I've learned to live with it. Yes there is a fix, hang on and I'll try to find some info on it for you.

Ok I don't know how to insert the short cut, LOL, but just go to "issues with VY's" in the VY section and up at the top search this thread. Type in "volume controls"

Thanks. I did a thread search but couldn't find it at first. Will have another go.

Ive had the same issue on my VZ SV6 after i changed the buttons from the grey to SS black. I did hear that its a dry joint (cracked soldering joint on the circuit board).
