Body Kit on a Calais?

Hi,

Just wondering, can an S pack or SS body kit be installed onto a VY Calais? Any idea where someone would go to have this done, and what price they'd be looking at?

Can if you want to, but it's the entire front and rear bumpers, not just the spoilers along the bottom. Also means the healights and taillights will need to be changed to suit. Looking at least $500 per bumper, plus paint and labour, $200 for taillights and $300 for headlights (rough estimates).

For Series 1 Calais models, they offered a factory optioned skirt kit, under the name "Holden by Design," (now called "HSVi") which was a set of skirts they attached to the Berlina/Calais bumpers. These are quite rare.
Series 2 models had a skirt moulded into the front and rear bumpers, and came on all Calais' produced.

You're right about the front bumper, but the rear bumper on the Calais Series 2 was the same as the Berlina, with the addition of the extensions on each lower rear quarter which are available as separate parts. I have them fitted to my Series 2 Berlina, together with the HBD front lip spoiler, as it was a lot cheaper than replacing the whole bumper facia to get the Calais look.

The side skirts on the Series 2 VY Calais were actually SS items.
