My front bar got hit by a truck (on the grass, foot and a half away from gutter FFS). The bar has to be replaced and a headlight as well etc I love the HSV kit and am wondering if fitting it involves any extra adjustment compared to replacing it with a stock S bodykit. Any info or tips that relates to this would be much appreciated.
shud just fit straight up. less the flack youll get from people telling you you dont own a clubby stop trying to make it look like one. which i kinda agree with :P
Head and tail lights are different..
if you dont do the whole kit and everything it looks shit
the stock s pac kit is better!!!! save up if you want a clubby, a commodore with a hsv kit just doesnt look right.
If it's a genuine bodykit you'll need HSV headlights, but they do make fibreglass replica fronts that have the teardrop in them. There's a guy on here with a white fibreglass maloo front with the cutouts for the dimples - looks pretty good. I think he ended up going genuine though.
SS headlights would look better than S ones too.
Thought better of it which came down to hassle mostly. I CBF'd and organising thailand trip at same time would not have been fun [jetting off this thursday woooo] Yeah everyone always says that, but at the end of the day I'm not trying to make it look like I own a clubby. I just think the VY clubby has the maddest body kit ever (for eg I think VE clubby looks shite and prefer SV6 kit over HSV) the best looking VY I have ever seen is a white executive with the full genuine kit/lights/spoiler...but no badging or over the top wheels etc. If I had a white VY I wouldve done it ages ago. I only wanted to do it because it was more viable with work being done to the car already and the fact I can't recall seeing an HSV (or clubby-kitted VY) in hothouse Green (though they are out there)
lol yeah definately wasn't gonna get just the front done it would be whack haha. Its just the front bar some1 mentioned the support bar would need to be adjusted or something.
Yeah I didn't mention I have SS lights and Foggies in so from the front my car looks like an SS...from the side it looks like a confused child with stock S pack 16" rims and mud flaps *shame*
I did see a HSV kitted ute with the SS teardrop lights in it, looked sweet but the HSV lights are wayyy better IMO.
