    Default HBD sunroof sag

My 2003 VY CV8 has the Holden by Design sunroof, which sags down lower than the roofline once it is shut, i've been told it is a simple matter of tightening it but i am still unsure of what to tighten . . .

Can anyone lend a hand here?

These are notoriously iffy in regards to shutting properly , try going thru a full opening/closing sequence, followed by a full tilt/untilt sequence, sometimes it gets confused when it gets asked to close fully from a tilt position , they are controlled by the Body Control Module. Even try disconnecting yoyur battery for a couple of minutes to clear any memory faults in the BCM..

Nah its nothing to do with the electronics, it closes to the right level for a second but then "falls" down another 5-10mm at the back, into the roof.

I am ahhh, Failing to see how the BCM controls the Sunroof?

I am in the Process of installing one, And on the wiring harness it just has constant, accessories and negative ? Doesn't the sunroof memory come from the Sunroof itself? (Module near motor)

    Cheers.

just curious sixty6, roughly how much does it cost to buy/install one , i was contemplating it as a possible mod for my VY S-pack but i thought it might be a bit pricey for a mod that would be just a cherry on top

Well like Archers said, He picked one up for $75. Not sure which Calais or what model is was, But $75 isn't too bad. So in that respect, It depends whether you want to Purchase new or a second hand unit.

The one i am installing is a Webasto Holandia, These are used on all Holdens however different models are used throughout Holdens release of them. The one i am installing has full tilt and slide, With memory settings (I don't think pre Vy other then HSV had this option?) And these retail at around $2500, I think. And go on eBay for around $1200.

As for installation i am not 100% as i am most likely going to be doing it myself, But i would have expected to pay around $500 to get it done well. This is not something i would skimp out on - The installation that is.

that was 2 yrs ago so prices may have gone up but wouldn't be to much plus the 50 to fit was coz I'm a good customer and spent 10000 that yr at my mechanic
