My son has acquired a VY Berlina and has a problem with the window on the LH rear door. The window doesn't go all the way up as shown in the pic. Is there any way to adjust this?
Thanks in advance.
My guess would be the power window mechanism in the door isnt sitting flush with where it should be, should be as simple as taking the interior door mould off and having a look, if you see something on it that looks like its out of place, maybe a screws come loose somewhere or a piece of plastic has broken off that"ll be ur culprit, you"ll just need to lift it to where it closes correctly and find a way to fix it in place again

Steve thanks for the reply.
I should have mentioned that we took the door mould off and stripped the plastic cover and looked for anything obvious. As the mechanism is riveted in, we didn't see any obvious adjustment. Couldn't see anything loose or broken.

there is a stopper at the top of the door I think at the front and it is adjustable via an allen key through a hole inthe rubber moulding along the edge. In these cars there was an additional stopper introduced for th eback to stop the glass skewing once it got to the top they would keep going at the back and damage the door rubber however yours looks like its doing the opposite.
I'd say check the allignment of the channels the glass runs in, is it set too far apart? You could try adjusting the stopper on the front or perhaps it is one of the later VY's that has the additional stopper on the back edge and this is out of adjustment? When was the car built?
It's a 10/03 model.
same as mine and it doesn't have the second lot of stoppers, try adjusting the stopper it has and see if the windoe runners need adjusting to tighten the window so it can not skew as much in it's travel.
Thanks wortus, will have a look.
no worries just be careful with the plastic liner under the door trim, don't tear it around the trim clips, remove the trim clips from the door and make sure it's sealed up good as otherwise it will leak. My car had a huge leak in the door when I got it and upon inspection this plastic was torn around the clips and not put back on well. I used Septone windscreen sealant as it is easier to remove later but you can use one of the sikaflex prooducts.
Hi wortus..
Thanks for the responses. I tried the stopper on the door but it made no difference. I had a quick look inside the door but i only saw 2 bolts for the rear runner. I tried adjusting that but that didn't really do anything.
I will look at posting a pic of the door so someone can point out where it can be adjusted.
