Guys

I need to replace the wipers, do I just get one from Supercheap or should I get one from Holden spares...?
Please advice

Do you mean wiper refills? If so:

Just goto KMart or any auto store? For a few extra dollars they should also have Teflon coated windscreen wipers which usually last around double the life of others.

If you mean the whole wiper blade (refill and holder) assembly, then yea, Holden don't charge much. But you can still get them anywhere too for roughly the same amount.

Put some Bosch Aerotwins on it,after using them you'll never use anything else.
They are the one piece wiper similar to what VE commy's use,and can be found at Supercheap.
You'll need a BBA500 and a BBA550 for the VY.

NO , Supadear dont stock them any more , you have to Order them from AutoBarn. Well worth the extra bucks , about $80 a pair but Sup good , bosch quality & look smick too , easy to fit instructions on packet.

Alright you can either just buy standard refills or go with the "flex blade" made by triton i believe (find them at supercheap, even have a book to show your size)....the flex blades are sweet as and simple to install (Highly recommend and about $60 for the both), although a little pricey...otherwise just go with some silicon refills

I agree on the Bosch aerotwin... i was lucky to source the for $6 each just before they shifted over to triton... So I bought 3 pairs

Bosch Aerotwins for sure. And get some 303 wiper blade treatment to keep them in tip top shape.

im just wondering would the VE commodore wipers fit onto the VY? .. because i cant seam to find anywhere on ebay or the auto shops that sells them, but i can easily find ones for the VE's ..

ok, bit stupid qn, but i bought replacement wipers today (the assembly) but i cant seem to get the old ones off. with my VS they used to come off easily when replacing, so whats the trick with the VY?

Lift the arm away from the windscreen,push the small clip on the plastic U-shape fitting and slide it out of the arm (back towards the windscreen).
