each time my friend turns on his car the service warning tone and graphic indicator goes off, and also when he turns it off, he took it in to get service but Holden did not reset it at the end, so i was just wondering, how do you reset the service warning in this car, i looked in the manual and all it said that the Holden service people would do it but no instruction on how to go about it where in there, where supposeably in the Holden Commodore Acclaim VT 1998 model there was instructions in the manual on how to reset it?
anyone know how to do it in a Holden Commodore S VY 2003 series?
Hold down only the up & down arrow buttons (below the mode button) of the trip computer.
Turn the ignition to ON
After about 3 seconds the service reading will appear
Release the up & down arrows
You'll hear a beep
Hold the up & down arrows again & it should reset
Turn the ignition off.
No more service warning
I just googled it and this was the first thing i found.. I remember doing it ages ago, this sounds about right..
Check out my ride!

It is in my VYII Berlina manual.....
It says "If, for some reason, you wish to reset the service reminder yourself......" and it goes on to tell you, which Timmos has already described. However you need to press SET after you hear the beep and it will reset it.
does this also work on the calais?
cool mine needs this done too im goinna try it
i tried this on mine and have had no luck...grrr
