Im looking at getting a 2003 VY Acclaim, 163K, power windows, cruise, trac control etc. 10K
what do people think?

Im getting it throughly checked over tomorrow, anything i should ask them to specifically check etc?

Check for power steering shudder when getting in and out of parking spots and brake shudder, get them to measure the thickness of the discs too. When I got mine these were all that was wrong with it, the shudder can be reduced a lot by flushing the fluid and adding some Nulon if you like, any brake shudder get them to fit new rotors and pads and not just machine them.
Other things are central locking sometimes a door may not lock or unlock properly and just check that it has been properly serviced look at the colour of the fluids etc and try to find out when stuff like coolant, transmission, brake fluid was done so you know when to do it next time.
