Default Exaust for my VY executive

Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas
about what ways I would go about getting a new exaust for my
car, it is a 2003vy executive v6 and I want it to have more tune
and a better sound without cleaning out my bank, and no I am not
drilling holes in my mufler, just wondering if anyone knows of any
good cat back systems, or any good brands to look out for...

    Cheers

i dont think ul be able to get it that cheap.
consider a air intake, exhaust isnt the only thing that makes ur car sound better.

I can do a Manta 2 1/2" cat back with straight through muffler and a tail pipe for $185, series 1 only, series two is a bit dearer.

I wouldn't fit Berklee. From the experience I have had, they drone and they are expensive.

I highly recommend. Got the same and it sounds so good, Not like other v6's that drone alot, This is semi quite on idle and sounds very good for a 6 with the foot down.

I havent done anything to the air intake either yet.

Some series 2 VY's have the single cat under the floor pan, the twin cats up near the exhaust manifolds were introduced in early 2004 to comply with a revised exhaust emmission requirement. I've got a Nov 2003 Series 2 and it has one cat under the floorpan.

Are these replacement exhausts stainless or normal steel? The one on the car is stainless.

Get a varex muffler, hook it up to open at 3500rpm and be done with it.

Silent at idle, BWAHHHHHHHHHHHHH at >3500rpm. Everything else drones on a V6 and sounds like crap. Likewise there is almost no gains from exhausts on V6s. If you want performance and a burble/rumble at low rpm, get a V8.
