How much and where can I get a spare key made?

Shop around though, they are out there for cheaper

I got a new head, key cut, & programmed for $85 cash from a Mobile Locksmith. Thats about the bottom price I reckon.....

Yeah thats pretty cheap, I found on here in Brissy for $99 using GM parts

at work we do em for 110$ cut an programmed but just had a recent price increase due to supplier upping the price now they are 120$ an that's a genuine Holden key

ok,, you buy the key from Holden say 100$ if your lucky, now Holden don cut keys so you gotta go somewhere to get it cut any respectable locksmith will guarantee the key will work an most charge between 30 an 50$ cos if they stuff it they gotta replace it.

Now its back to Holden to get it programed book the car in an pay another roughly 50$ for them to program, in the end no its not cheaper.

I got a new key done for my VY just last week at a Holden Dealer (Booran in Cheltenham, Vic). New head, key, program the head and cut the key for me = $130.
I was pretty happy with that considering all OEM parts.
I was just driving past so thought id drop in too see how much, when i heard the price I asked when they could do it and they said right now!
Did it on the spot, nice and cheap and i was out of there 10minutes later.
