Rear wheels???

Hey guys,
My back left wheel is making a scuffing noise, i read a post which i cant seem to find now and it said that there were problems with vy hanbrake shoes, anyone heard of this?? I think i may have the same problem because when i lift my handbrake a little it goes away, i dont actually engage the handbrake though.

i have this issue (except mines the back right :P) from time to time as well. Would be interesting to know the exact fix.

i have the same problem on the right hand side i was thinking it was the wheel bearing

Can you claim that on insurance, my car is no longer under manufacturers insurance but if they have admitted a problem shouldnt they incur the cost of fixing it? Or at least give you the part for free
