Couple of idea's.

G'day guys.
Been fiddling with my car recently. And have some new parts on the way.
One of which being exhaust upgrade.
Looking at going with Difilipo 4-1 extractors. Now, i'll be making my own exhaust to go with these. And was contemplating a twin 3" system. To suit mods that will follow.

An Idea i've had is to copy the CV8Z monaro's with the outlets either side of the rear bar, now i know this would be an involved process if at all possible. If it is, is it as simple as changing the fuel tank and adding some hangers?

I'm quite capable of modifying the rear bar to suit. I plan to use the exhaust cut out, from another VY bar to suit the opposite side. Provided that either edge of the cut out is symetrical and allows its self to be reversed. If not, it wouldnt be much effort to fabricate a new peice.

Another Idea i've had, is to get myself another bonnet, to fabricate (in metal) an A9X/Camaro rearward facing scoop. Most likely just for aesthetics as I've always liked it and i think could compliment the sharp lines of the VY if done correctly.
At the moment I''m in two minds wether or not to have it opened at the windscreen end, or closed in the XR8 style.

I'm not after personal opinions on these idea's. Rather constructive idea's on how to make these things practical and doable.

that would be insanely awesome. the rear facing open scoop would be sweet, and beneficial, but i heard that open scoops are illegal (in SA at least)

Then how do the E2's and CV8Z's get away with them?

Besides, provided its got something to stop arms and such going under the bonnet, I can't see an issue.
