Hey guys, just got meself a Vy calais and as an avid supporter of Holdens, it was a long time coming!
Im quite excited and as it is probably my first real car (dont count my first shit box as a car) im quite excited to spend a bit of cash on it.
just wondering where you guys think it would be wise to spend some cash on it. Its a bit to quiet for my liking also!
Thanks in advance for some help and suggestions!![]()
V6 or V8? Guessing V6 by you saying too quiet.

Haha i meant in moderation but i will keep that in mind..
I wouldn't mind, fixing the suspension to make it look lower and get the exhaust sounding loud but not LOUD if you know what i mean! im afraid im like a crash test dummy when it comes to hightec stuff, but thats what the forum is for i guess!
what type of exhaust system would you reccomend?
Extractors, into 2.25" or 2.5" exhaust. If you feel fine fitting it yourself (not to hard) PM Not_An_Abba_Fan, he sells this stuff quite cheap.
Otherwise for mods, diff gears, rockers, CAI and exhaust, also with Greenfoam tune, will see you smiling for a while.

excellent acarmody, i sppreciate that! Do you know of any good places in Adelaide or? Thanks again!
Sorry man I'm a little far away. Just ask you local shop for some Pacemaker extractors, and a Redback exhaust, pretty safe bet with those brands. Ask a few different shops for prices. Don't let them talk you into getting a new cat, unless its rooted (smashed in form speed bumps, or had fuel down it due to engine fault) it will be plenty fine. Holden apparently put some damn decent cats into these cars.
