Hey I have recently picked up a VY II V6 Berlina currently in stock form (except for the LPG kit) and looking to lower it over some 18" rims (Incubus Paranormals) I have from my previous car. I'm looking to only drop the car ~50mm with King Springs.
Basically, I am concerned about clearance specifically for the rear wheel arch. Currently the rear Eye Brow Height (distance from center of wheel to edge of wheel arch) is 355mm. Where the EBH to be reduced to 305mm I'm not sure I'd have clearance for the wheels (especially as it is currently sitting on it's factory 16" rims... what about when I stick the 18s on?).
The front EBH is 380mm and have plenty of room to drop the distance I'm planning for.
The two fuel tanks aren't even full at the moment, petrol is just under half full and the LPG tank is about a third full, not to mention no one sitting in the thing. The build plate says the suspension is standard and I doubt the old guy I bought it from changed the springs.
So has anyone lowered their VY with an LPG kit in the back had any issues with rear tyres rubbing on the guards?
I have 18's and have lowered mine on pedders sports springs, I get no rubbing at all and no real issues with scraping unless I hit a reaaallly steep driveway or somthing like that, have a look at mine if u want n I would recommend pedders springs anyway over kings, just dont get pedders to do it lol, find ur trusty local mechanic to get some pedders springs for you cos pedders will probly charge you a fair bit

Your topic is too technical for me tonight, Been on the road driving for the past 10Hrs.
Providing the offset of the wheel is OK you will be fine, Maybe when looking at the Kings if you are concerned get a HD (Heavy Duty) or V8 springs.
I don't have an LPG tank, But i have excess of 200KG of sound gear in the Trunk, and a fair bit more throughout the cabin. I don't get too much scrubbing with 20's, Mind you i run coilovers. But the rears are almost the same set up as shocks / springs.
Hope a have enlightened your situation a little.
Cheers
