Im just wondering what are the major differences between teh sc v6 and regular v6 exhaust?
I know the s/c is twin, and it can basically fit a v8 exhaust from the cats down. Does anyone know if you can basically swap the exhaust from one v6 to another, regardless of being s/c or not?
I have a old v8 exhaust lying around, and rather than go buy new cats i want to find some old s/c one and just hook it all up, but will i have a problem with
A. the non s/c headers dont work with the cats
and
B. this cant be hooked up on a non-s/c or non-v8 ute (suck as hangers and space and such)
You will have to look under the car to see if the hangers are on the RHS for the centre mufflers, I'm pretty sure they are. You will need the twin cat front section so the exhaust bolts straight up. Other than that, it won't be a problem. A lot of stuffing around for nothing though, as the V8 or the S/C system won't do anything but change the note and use more fuel.
