Hi guys,
Wondering if anyone has ever bought anything like this :
Leather seat covers for vy
I've seen them on ebay for quite a while and always thought there must be a catch, maybe it looks and feel terrible in person..
But from what i can see in their example images and feedback they seem pretty legit. Although how fitted can a seat cover possibly be.
Let me know if you think it's worth a try or not..
Thanks
PS. i found an old thread on here (as i did search before posting!) from a user with a VT who was exceptionally happy with the look but the quality was well below standard of real leather.

Hi Tim,
I was once looking at this option myself, I got sent a sample (which i advise you to do also - request a sample). I am a very anal person when it comes to perfection and quality, I think the material feels horrid and is nothing better then vinyl. However for the price tag of $500 i guess it's probably not so much a bad option to tidy up the interior of you car.
One of the major down sides to this material is that it doesn't breath, So in warmer climates up here i could only imagine how uncomfortable it would be if you sweat a little, Or after the beach getting into your car wet.
I am in the process of using Hide that i bought over from Italy, But that costs Thousands, So i guess it's personal preference and weighing up the cost. But like i said, Request them to send a sample of the product to you.
Cheers,
Super6
Thanks! i didn't even think of asking for a sample. I'll be sure to do this.
As far as the material goes, we'll obviously i'm in the market for cheapest option possible so italian leather although would be nice is a bit out of my price range![]()

theyre actually not too bad.
i had a set in a VS and i have to say i really liked the feel of the material. the retrims i got were white and i also bought some white vinyl to match, just for the door trims etc.
I found the seat material was much much softer than regular vinyl.
and they do fit the seats very well, they arent just covers.
you actually have to pull all the seats out and remove all the factory cloth from the seats, and then these new covers are bolstered to the seat frames.
there's a couple of different guys on ebay, and i think at least one of them just sells tight covers, meaning no removing of the old trim, which sounds easier but wouldnt fit as well, so be careful what you're buying.
