the center flip pocket the is located infront of the gear shifter just under the radio doesnt want to stay closed. is there a mod or something i have to do?
how do i fix it?
Mine does the exact same thing in my VY S sedan.
This issue has arisen before on the forum guys. Some members have said there is a small component in the locking mechanism that breaks but is available from Holden quite cheaply.
You need to remove the console top section, then, I think, the stereo to get the bin out to repair it. How to is described on another thread currently doing the rounds on the forum - sorry but I don't have the link.
Correct. There is a little piece that holds the door shut. I have replaced 2 in different cars. Only a few $ from Holden. Pull the centre dash fascia off and 2 screws hold the pocket in. Undo those, install the clip and put it all back together

ok wow thanx guys much appreciated
hey guys,
went to holden in mandurah (80km south of perth) and when i asked if they had it they said they cant sell the clip as a seperate part, i had to buy the whole fricken pocket and they wanted $130!!! I told them that holden spare parts at other dealerships have sold this part many a time but they wouldn't have anything to do with it and tried to lecture me about it, so being at 430pm on a friday i told him to get stuffed and stormed outta there. Probably shouldnt have taken my shitty day at work out on them.
Ok so, does anyone have the part number for the little clip that i need. So that i can either buy it from holden, coventries etc..
thanx guys
Ill email a spare parts mate and see if I can get the number for you

You should have got it from here:
NVU, Genuine Holden parts to suit Holden Commodore VR,VS,VT,VX,VY,VZ,Monaro,Statesman,Utes and HSV
1st column second item, they only cost $16.50. $130 you can buy the whole dash facia for that!
The Blue One
Part# 92103515 - Latch, Storage Compartment.
$20 (trade) ask for trade price as it is only a small item or you can do what PaulSV6 said but check what the sting for postage is.
