    Default Extractors..

    Hey guys,
Looking at getting a set of extractors for my Vyss.
I've decided pacemakers but which way do i go..try ys or 4 into 1 headers?
Its also getting an Ls edit done later on down the track..
    which would you choose?
    Cheers.

in my opinion as i have been through this with my car tri y were good for a untuned car but if your getting a mafless id go the 4-1's auto or manual.pacemakers dont have great down low torque and difilippo were great everywhere if you can afford it id go difilippo but pacemakers are good too

Pacemakers are fine mate, As for 4 into 1s or try Ys? Personal preference mate. Plenty of high powered gen 3s running either of them

Ok cool, thanks for the input guy.
I was planning on installing them myself..do i need to remove any steering components with pacemakers?
I know difilippo's have a lot of fiddling around.

I run Advance Try - Y myself work realy well.
If your car is not cammed i would go for the Try Y.
If you car is cammed then go 4 into 1

4 into one sit lower on the collectors flange plates and will scrape on bumps and speed humps which could break the heads exhaust flange plate bolts if not carefull.
4 into 1's are good for high RPM stuff such as drag racing.

Try Y are much better for the street IMO and produce more torque down low.

difilippo and pacemaker both have to drop the steering rack to get them in and out easier difilippo are a bit tighter fit. pacemaker tri y hang just as low as the 4-1's

The trick with difilippo extractors (and any other 1 piece i guess) is that you need to get the car off the ground as high as possible so you can move and fiddle with the driver's side extractor to get it in..

If you are building a quarter mile car then go 4 into 1. But if its for street use then Tri-Ys are best.
