Default any TECH 2 guru's here?

Hey guys. finally got my hands on a Tech 2. I have a base model VY ute.

inside I've got the hsv level 3 dash. It was configured by HSV to work with the v6.

using the tech 2 I've been able to look through a lot of the data and change simple things.

Just wanted to know using the tech 2, can I:

    change shift points
rename my dash from "clubsport 0000" to something else

i finally realize how vuluable tech 2's are, and can't believe the amount of info the computer actually processes on this thing.

I still have a low level BCM too if it helps.

Also is there a tech 2 emulator for a laptop available? As I would love to buy one but $4500 is a bit steep.
Check out my build <---Click me

Now sporting ASR audio interior lighting and stereo mods, and MACE induction mods.
Need your computer tuned, or dash calibrated??? Want your PS3 fixed, or wish to prevent the YLOD?

Can't touch your shift points on a tech2, that's in the ECU. To put custom logos on the dash I believe the chip needs to be de sodered from the cluster and then placed in a chip burner. The logo can then be encoded to the chip and then resoldered to the cluster.

I have heard of a TECH2 emulator................from the same guy I know of that does the cluster stuff. They are out there.

I was under the impression that you could change something to do with the shift points/pressures just with the tech 2's, although this may not be the case...?

You can change the display on your dash, Phreddy can / and does do it, I have mine changed to 'My Acclaim 003' (as in 2003, but because the build numbers on the VY's only have three digits, you can only use three - not create extra letters/digits. The VZ's can have four numbers)
Not sure if thats with the tech 2, or with another 'unit' he has? But he can do mail orders

You can't do either of those 2 things with Tech2,unless you can get custom software loaded into the Tech2 that allows it.Standard Tech2 software will not do it though.

nah shift points are as Charged said, only with the ecu can they be changed but the cluster doesn't control them anyway. you can change the start up to say Chev with the chev symbol but ya cant change the writing with the tech2
