Hey guys,
when ever i brake heavily to slow down i come to a complete holt then theres the slightest of jolts of the suspension in the back recompressing(this which happens in every car) and at the same time a small clunk from the rear end. Ive already had the tail shafts replaced 2000kms ago under the 3 yrs used car warranty by holden also my car has 155k on it.
so does anyone know what the problem would be? and what i can do about it?
Cheers
With the handbrake on, get under your car and see how much the tailshaft turns. It should have a bit of freeplay but not too much. If it has more than 1/8th of a turn (approx) of play you probably need your diff reco'd. If not, try changing your diff oil, making sure that the oil you use has the additive for LSD's in it or you can buy the additive from Holden. Hope this helps.
