I tried searching and only found one member who had a VX that did this, apparently to do with the main earths under the bonnet. Car was deadlocked at the time, sitting in the garage at home, unlocked itself, couple of minutes later it relocked itself, then did the same thing once more, hasn't been washed or had the engine bay washed for ages, so don't think it's water related. HELP please?

Ok, in answer to my own question, I think what may have happened is that one of the door lock actuators stuck and the bcm decided to unlock the car for safety reasons. I might be wrong but it looked like the drivers lock knob had stuck slightly, probably because of when I soundproofed the doors, some tar-backed foil may have stuck to the lock or something. This happened to my front passengers door a while ago and that was the cause, although the door was simply not unlocking. It wasn't doing what it did last night, anyhow time will tell.

Hmmm I might have to pull apart all my doors now. I had an aftermarket 'upgrade' alarm installed on my car a while back, but after a few days I had to turn the siren off because my alarm used to go off all the time for no reason. When I get back to my car it give me 4 flashes of the indicators, which signals doors were triggered. But I know nothing has touched my car. I still get people coming into my work and telling me my indicators are going off, (from alarm).

Have you made sure it's not a dodgy remote? Tried using the spare and seeing if it still does it?
