Had a quick look around the forums and couldn't find anything about this. Anybody here done a swap like this? My radio is a VY 6-stack with the segmented display, and it's looking a bit tired/worn out. Wanting to install ASR pre-out and ipod integration kits, and toying with the idea of getting a better radio and ditching my ratty looking 6-stack.

Looking at a VZ HSV radios on eBay, the one with the better screen and other bits. In the listing he states that the radio needs to be coded by a dealer to work with your car. Can anybody verify this? Also wanting to know if the radio does work, will the antenna still go up and down as it does now, just without he ability to control it's position exactly?

Any other issues I might come across with this swap?
