battery light in vy ss

gday all i just bought a vy ss and i was driving the other night and noticed when i accelerated the battery light on the dash was coming on, is this just a sign of my battery going flat.

No this is the "check alternator" indicator and it is there to show when the alternator is not charging properly. If there is a problem the indicator will normally stay illuminated and you should also get a "check alternator"
message show up against the red warning light.

If you continue to get the light showing up while driving get then get the alternator checked out to ensure it is functioning correctly.
