    Default Electric Antenna

    Hey Guys,

I have recently had a whole new sound system installed and when I am listening to a CD the antenna rises....

Does anyone know how I can stop the antenna rising as I never listen to radio and think it looks mega dorky!

Is there a fuse or something I can unplug?

    Thanks.

The antenna motor does not have an independent fuse so do not pull the fuse.

I was in the same boat, I don't listen to much radio and the Antenna sticks up so high. Looks silly and is impractical if you driving under low clearances...

I put a switch on mine, Just a basic 2 pin switch inline with the 'remote' wire from the H/u. If you are prepared to do this mod, Flick me through a PM and can help you out with more specific details.

Basically Antenna remains down until i hit the switch, Then it rises.

    Cheers,

As SuperSixty6 said, an inline switch would be the best way. Pioneer is the only name brand that doesn't send a signal to the aerial to tell it to go down when a CD is on. Sony's do it, kenwoods do it (unless they are wired wrong). But Pioneer just haven't included it in their HUs which is a pain in the arse really but what can you do. I don't know if you are using a Pioneer head unit, but if your not, then one of the wires must not be connected properly.
