cd stuck

hey guys my gf's mum has a vy s with the factory sterio and cant get a cd out. just wondering if there's any hints on how to do this. or whether you have to take the whole thing out and take it apart? thanks guys

Try maybe using a very very fine pair of pliers, than CD is probably warped, I got the same thing with a mates cd, who left it in the sun.
Otherwise, You might need to take it out, If you use the pliers, put some material around the tips, so when your niggling it around u dont scratch the plastic (where the cd goes in)

I would remove the whole headunit (special tool required, you can make one out of a coathanger), remove the facia of the unit (4 screws) then you should be able to see the CD easily.

Find another CD that you dont mind scratching. Slide it halfway into the cd player underneath the cd that is already stuck in it. Apply upwards pressure on the cd that u have slid halfway in and at the same time slowly pull it towards you.

The cd you slid in should grab the stuck one and pull it out for you. Good Luck

As said best to just remove the unit, as you will have better access to it.

when it happened in my vy,i removed both fuses marked "radio" for a moment then put them back in. cd came straight out. from what ive heard its a common problem with these stereos

Yea I had a CD stick. (VY) I took unit out and rolled the mechanism manually until the CD was ejected. Put back in and all good. I had disconnected battery for something before problem and I think this may have caused player to stick.
