hi guys,
a family friend has just purchased a vy gts and i noticed that it had a "360" kw badge of the rear...i thought these came out with a callaway enhanced ls1 producing 300kw?? im a bit confused can anyone clarify this for me

yeah came out factory with 300kw motor not sure what the 360kw is all about i did a quick google and didnt find anything about a 360kw model (maybe badge change?) anywayz im sure someone on here will know lol

its only a 300 maybe he had it tuned and put a badge meaning 360, great cars too bad they came with one of the worst engines

100% sure its a 360 badge its in the exact same style as the 300 factory badge so it doesn't look dodgy or fake...they just recently bought it last week he said it was factory hsv tuned...i cant seem to find anything on the net either...

It'll be a custom badge they had made. Alot of people do it after they have their car tuned/modded. 99% of the time the badge is made in the same style as the original. They had a 300kw Callaway C4B donk. Unless it was one of those limited edition VY GTS's that came out with the flux capacitor......

LOL.. flux capacitor. Yep definitely a custom badge. As above C4B never recieved more or less than 300kw.

vehicle hasn't been supercharged in the past? I'd assume the old owner(s) would only have changed that badge to indicate they are pulling 360kw's out of it... otherwise its like a gay ralliart sticker!

you can get badge numbers from supercheap that are fairly close in appearance to the factory 300 badging.

Not necessarily, the numbers refer to flywheel kilowatts so a cam tune otr and exhaust would give 360 on a gts Id say

i saw the bloke with it last night and he said he has no idea why he has 360kw badge, he didnt even know that they only made a limited number lol...anyway had a look under the bonnet, wasn't supercharged and didnt have an OTR, but did have an ss induction growler kit, an exhaust system and im guessing a tune if the output is what the badge claims, i reckon the previous owner must have just got a custom badge made

All come factory on HSV's, which is fwkw as we all know. So generally the numbers would refer to fwkw, with the odd exception of people putting rwkw badges on like you say

360 rwkw would have to have a pretty serious FI setup going on, which obviously this car doesnt. So I think fwkw is a fair assumption...

All you need is the 6 from the 260 S1 hsv's, and add it to the stock gts 300 badge.
