    Default high mount brake light

    hey guys, i am currently bidding on a high mount rear tail light for my vy ute, just wondering how difficult they are to fit? it is to suit vy/z series utes

    go have a search in the 'my ride' section i know 'one_and_only2004' (names something like that) anyway i know he fitted one of these to his ute and i think he outlined it.. ill go have a look...



    EDIT: found it, post #77 doesn't give much info but he does say a bit about wires...

    That would be me. I can't remember exactly what i did, but i found this post.

    hi there.

    it was quite a long time ago, but i think there's a blue wire with a red line on it - that's the brake light +12v. Just hook up to the chasis for an earth. I originally tried to use a black wire as a -12v but every time i pressed the brakes i got an ABS error popping up on the screen. I eventually just

    Don't hook yours up to the brown one, or your light will be on all the time. The LED light is only designed to run when the brake pedal is pressed on - it's not two stage like the tail lights.
