Hey Guys,
Looking for some advice regarding my VY S series 1 drivers seat.
Under the seat the motor that drives the electric lift is fine, but it appears the blue plastic thread it attaches to at the front has sparated from the driving motor. There is now a threaded piece of rod there, and the blue section at the front is simply hanging. The plastic section doesnt appear to have broken. I'm at work so unfortunately no pics. The motor runs fine, basically if i sit on the seat heavily towards the front it 'falls forward' in a sense. If i can get the blue plastic cylinder off I will be able to thread it back on and it should be all good again. Any ideas on how to do just that! The blue plastic cylinder appears to be held by a pin that i cant remove.
HELP!
Cheers guys.
*EDIT* Best pics I can do camera is dying

I think the plastic gear was replaced by a metal one at some point and the easiest thing to do is get a motor that has the metal gear or see if you can buy this gear and fit it to your motor. Have a look at this link;

Remember if you take the seat out and unplug the seat belt pretensioner and/or airbags I think you have to disconnect the battery otherwise you will log an eror in these systems which you will have to pay someone to clear.
"Front Seat Hieght Adjuster - The seat height adjuster may become inoperative, which can be caused by the electric motor adjusting shaft separating from the plastic mechanism adjuster nut. A new seat base assembly was introduced early 2003, which featured a metal mechanism adjuster nut."
That is definitely it. I had a look last night, the rear one is metal, the front is plastic. Just have to work out how to get the front one out to replace it now. Any ideas? It appears the bolt going through seen in the second image above holding it on is flared at one end. If I can get the bolt out im set.
