Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows of a place that re-rolls rims.
I had a blowout on the freeway and it's buckled my 19" Sig, tried to get a new tyre fitted but it wouldn't seal to the rim itself.
Thanks.
I had a damaged rim repaired through a panel beater friend they usually have contacts for rim repair or try the yellow pages. There are even some mobile services around these days that fix minor scrapes and they may be able to help you.
If you let people know where you are, then they can help.
There is a place in Moorabbin that does it, had one of my rims re-rolled there.
Isn't it illegal to use any rim that has been repaired??
Just what I thought I heard, Correct me if i'm wrong.
Ben
There is no such thing as stupid questions, Only stupid people.
I think it's if there has been structural damage then it can't be repaired but if its just a small buckle then it can be re-rolled.
Not sure, but i know that one of my rims was re-rolled when the car was being repaired under an insurance claim because they couldn't source a new rim.
Can anyone confirm this?
Is it an ADR jurisdiction thing or is it state by state?
as jester said... give a little info on where you live and we can help you..
if in melb then
