Cool VY series 2 service ?

should the on board service reminder be telling us this or should we be going with what the window sticker says . we have only had the car for 5 months 2nd hand

pretty sure the on board service thingy will flash at close to each 10,000km.

its really upto yourself, if you want to do it via the on board or by the window sticker that a mechanic has put on your car.
dont worry, il start a ride thread soon.

VY Service interval is 15,000km however the oil should probably be changed more frequently depending on how the car is used ie city or country driving, long or short trips etc.
How many KM travelled since the oil was changed and what millage is the next schedulled service as some are just an oil change and a few other things while othere, I think every 45,000km include filters and spark plugs.

Service interval is 15,000km (10,000km for V8) or 9 months whichever comes first. I do mine every 9 months which in my case works out to be about 4,000km. If you have no idea what service was done last, then get a 135,000km service (air filter + fuel filter + spark plugs) and change the transmission fluid and brake fluid.

If you do less then 15,000kms in 9 months then the trip computer reminders will be completely out of whack because they just pop up every 15,000km on the Odometer, they don't remember how long since the last service as such.

If a reminder comes up you can cancel it by turning off the car, hold down the up and down arrows on the trip computer and start the car, keep holding them until the trip computer comes up asking to reset the service reminder, press mode to reset it. Then it'll stop bugging you about the service every time you start the car.
