since i put my ss bar on i think its time to get some foggies put in, how hard is it to wire them up considering theres no loom for them or am i better off getting an auto elec to do it? - i dont mind fiddling around with wires but i just wouldnt know where to start etc
has anyone done it? if they have a how to, that would be nice (Y)
thanks
I guess it all depends on how good you are with basic electrical wiring...
All you need to do it get a 12V relay and trigger the coil via the parker lights or the low beam lights. its quite easy, just make sure you fuse the feed for the foggies.
I could write you up a bit of a how to if need be, but if you have a multimeter and the pin outs of the relay, you should be all good

a how to would be great
im okay with basic wiring, i just dont know where to find the switch wire to splice into the parkers etc so a how to would be very appreciated
That should help you set up the relay.
As for splicing into the parker light circuit;
1. Unplug the head light connector behind the battery with the head light switch off.
2. Put the negative lead of your multimeter to the earth (- terminal/car body).
3. Measure all the pins in the connector (6 of them I believe), write them all down.
4. Turn the head light switch to parkers, write down the voltages again.
5. You will find that one of the pins will have turned from 0v to 12v, this is the parker switch wire.
Thats all you need to do to find your switch wire...
thanks bud, ill have to get some foggies and give it a go in the next few days
so do i run 86 to the parker?
Yeah that will be fine as long as you follow yhe diagram Above
lol dat all looks complicatedd haha all i did was tap into the parkers and then make my own switch under the footwell to turn it on and off whilst the parkers are on if your intrested in that wayy i can try to explain how)
probably best to use the relays though dude, as if ya get too much power running through the parkers ya gonna sometime blow a fuse..
Now normally i hate Narva stuff but if you dont really know what you are doing you could buy one of these kits
Driving Light Harness - Products - Narva
i have used a couple of these where customers bring in their own crappy narva lights which has this harness and it shouldnt be too hard to fit yourself, i personally dont like them as i prefer to do all the wiring for spotlights from scratch.
Personally I wouldn't wire a set of foggies off parker circuit. I'm supprised ghat they didn't blow a fuse, almost 10amps for 2x 55w globes... its not complicated using a relay, just a tiny bit more work, you did all the hard work finding the parker switch wire...
