    Question Ripping off a traveller?

Hi all, Recently had a general service done which came back with a list of the following jobs "needing to be done" Car was serviced in NSW but car has WA plates, so wondering how much of it really needs doing if you know what I mean.
    1. Castor rod bushes worn.
    2.Tappet cover gasket
    3.valley gasket leaking
    4.Rear main leaking
    5.Sump gasket leaking
    6.Passenger side rack boot leaking
    7.sway bar links worn
    8.Extension housing seal leaking
Is this a sick car, or just money grabbing? Yes can see a oil mark here and there but car has done 197000kms. Any advise would be appreciated. Cheers

Castor rod + swaybar links/bushes are a common thing, i wouldn't doubt that for a second. The rest sounds a bit OTT - leaking from almost everywhere possible lol.

Degrease the engine thoroughly, then keep an eye on it for leaks. If it's dirty you have no idea if the oil marks are old or not.

There's no way they'd be able to tell specifically where it's leaking from, if the car had as many leaks as it says

The only one they would be able to tell sepcifically is the tappet/rocker cover gasket. - this is because it's the highest point in the engine to leak from.

Ask them to point out the tappet cover leak - if you can see where it's coming from, authorise it.

Then - as above - tell them to degrease everything VERY thoroughly.

After that - next service it should be obvious that there's leaks from one particular spot - or everything will be clean if it was just the tappet cover leak running down the motor making a mess of everything

    +1

You'd be able to see the valley gasket aswell, but they generally never piss out, just weep. The only other one would be the Extension housing seal.
