I got the WK Caprice/Stateman CD deck in my car. I'm assuming it would be similar in functions as the standard commodore deck.
Is there any way I can run an AUX input cable into the deck? I pulled the deck out once and didnt see any connectors on the back (unless I missed something as at the time, I honestly want looking for an AUX unput). Or even a AVI Audio input as I can get converter cables.
I did see that I have an input cable for a bluethooth adapter on the passenger side of the console panel, which has no blue-tooth devices plugged in. Can this help some how?
use search, this would come up quite easily.
go to the ASR AUDIO thread (under the site sponsors header) they are the ones to help.
WTB - VY Drivers door, preferably silver - PM ME!
I did but I did it wrong. I typed AUX under the VY forum.
But good brought up this:
GTO Hard Wire Tutorial
*edit* still cant find any search threads for AUX. Maybe its too short for a search?
I also found this but holy crap! I wont be doing that to my car...

Is someone knows an easier way to do this, I'm all ears. Or if someone know anyone in Perth who can install a cable for a good price, I might be interested.
As said above go onto the asr audio section on this forum there you will find what you are looking for.
It is the very first section in this forum
I've got the ASR mod done including an ipod interface and I would recommend it
VYII Calais L67
I got the rca kit & aux kit sent over from phreddy and wrx884 will be installing it all this week![]()
I did the GTO Hardwire Tutorial to my VY Calais & it's a ripper!!!!!!! Just be careful with the soldering though , use a really small soldering iron.
You see, I'm just not comfortable doing it myself... anyone know of a guy or shop in Perth that could do it for me? Dont mind paying in beer currency or good old fashioned $$$
Well i just buggered my 6CD Blaupunkt stacker today....blew the fuse, radio works, but it doesn't recognise there are 6CD's in there!? and giving me Mech Errors. Bastard
There is greg in sydney and ant in wa that do these mods, they work together to customise the late model commodores, get into the asr section and have a look around if you look you will find.
And if you still can ask in there someone will point it out
YES...YES...YES. There is a contact in Perth. I have had my complete dash lighting, AUX input, and RCA outputs added to my Calais by Anthony in Perth. The guys name is Anthony (Ant) and his user name on here is wrx884. Private message him. He is awesome to deal with and did a great job on my car. He does the complete install from start to finish.
This is the link to Anthony (Ant)'s profile; http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/members/wrx884.html
