Nope
Yeah
Dunno, Maybe, each to their own.
hi guys, i got some leds recently and tested them out on the VY. took some pics have a peek, let me know what ya rkn, to be honest i think they look pretty good. ide prob hook em up to the parkers and remove those lights, but i was thinkin2, maybe putting them on a seperate switch, dont really need the rear lights on just to turn these on.

sorry, can a mod make the poll public so everyone can see it. couldnt figure out how to fix it up.
i like them a lot. but i reckon they would look 10x better with a white led parker
still looks really good, i was thinking about doing this to mine, is it hard to do?
Yeah they look good mate I know, mates liked them too, showed them pics on msn, I just took pics, when I'm going to hookem up properly, I'll replace those parkers led lights) and the headlights with white ones. Though hooking them up properly, I'll probably aim to not use the parkers, I don't really want to turn the rear lights on aswell, just to have them, so will probably add a separate switch. I was powering those directly from the battery terminals. no resistors needed.
by the way, are they T10, the parker lights? im lookin for them on ebay.... like whats the connection type can anyone help there.
Not a real fan sorry, I think it looks a bit tacky.
Not too bad IMO mate, good effort for giving it a go. My girlfriend and I were only talking about it today after she saw a VE with them on. I was thinking about giving it a go.
Seeing this, I think it could be worth giving it a go,if you don't mind that is
lol,
Got any info on them, like where you buy them, (off ebay?) how'd you stick them there etc... And even a photo in the day light with them off, to see if you can see it much...
Maybe even a 'How To' on the basics of it all, I'm sure there;d be one or two others wanting to do it aswell.
Probly won't get everyones 'tick of approval' but IMO it makes the front look a bit more attractive at night.
each to their own, these are a little bit thick, im going to get thinner ones, which are like 3mm high, with sticking, and theyll stick right under the headlight and you wont be able to see them during the day, we'll see how it goes, i like.
See how we go, I'm going to buy thinner ones so i can tuck them under, and I'll get a picture up soon of during the day, maybe 2moro morning. if i got time before work.
And Yeahh I seen them on a VE too, hence I thought f this, I want those, they were not under the light though, they where kind of under, along the bumper, cant really do that on a VY.
though i dont think they would look any good from anything vy and lower, like a vs etc the lights dont cut it.
and yes ill ebay them and maybe even write a how to. for now, hold up and lemmi see which ones work well
if you put them under, behind your light (but still enough to shine onto your bumper). it will look alot better then sitting infront of the head light.
want to see more then a typical commodore fitted with an exhuast, then check my thread out... link broken cuase i dont own a tuff car, i just made it up...
Check out my link to a thread below. I have posted full details and pics in my posts regarding my LED light strip install. Especially post number 6 in the thread.
I hooked mine and my mates up to the fog light wiring. Reason being is that in my state, fog lights are illegal unless there is fog. So they may have been able to be used maybe once a year legally. So now the fog light switch controls the LEDs instead of powering fog lights. Yes this means the park lights come on also, but Im happy with this as there is no negative to having rear tail lights on, even during the day. It only makes it safer, plus also having parklights on, especially in my Calais, they look fantastic together.
I now have HIDs and LED park lights. All my lights match perfectly. I don't have any updated pics yet though. My posts even give the site where I got all the LEDs for mine and my mates cars, also the LED globes and the HID sets too. They all come from Len at EziHid.com. Details in thread link.

LED head lights
Seems to be the craze now. I'm always on the road at work and I've seen heaps of commodores done, mainly VY,VZ,VE. Doesn't look too bad at all, shame though that nearly every commodore on the road will soon have this mod! Today I saw a VZ with the leds ABOVE the headlights, still looked ok.
'Ah well, I suppose it had to come to this.'
i have been thinking of doing this to my vy but have been wondering what it would look like with the parker bump in the light and after seeing the pictures i want to do it to my car but i need the time/money
the ones i got, are not side firing. i ordered side firing from ebay, we'll see due next week in the post, i like the idea about wiring them to the fog light circuits.
These are pics from during the day, just so you guys know, YES there the thick ones, and YES there on the outside protruding out, just kind of jammed it in the there, to get an idea and tookem off, just for pics and seein what they look like. Ordered white LEDS from ebay too.. ohh and the lights really dont shine like a bar, they are spots, just the cam pplying up, i used my phone.

I like! not sure on the legal side of it though
i red that fords built after 2011, they'll have to be mandatory addition. well i read it on an ebay add from a guy who is selling them(leds) for the XR range. so dunno
The rules may vary from State to State but in NSW the addition of lighting such as these does not require certification or other approval and hence should not affect rego.
