Hi all
I have a vy s2 exec & i was thinking of wat mods i should do??
I came up with
cold air intake (pod)
plenum spacer
manifold insulator
1:98 high ratio rockers
valve springs
maffless tune
cat back 2.5"
throttle body
thats for now but in the future i will be camming, supercharging, stroker kit, extractors and cats
any ideas or things i should or shouldnt do?? thanks![]()

If i were to do mine again I'd get
Pod filter
Plenum spacer
Manifold spacer
Rockers
2.5" exhaust.
Maybe a normal tune but not MAFless, it's just stupid on an exec.
Seriously, I've got everything in your list (my rockers are 1.8's though and I'm running a twin 2.5" exhaust with extractors and twin high flow cats), I'm supercharged, intercooled and soon to be cammed. I hop in an auto VY SS with a tune and exhaust and regret that I wasted all my money on a crappy old ecotec.
Learn from my mistake - Cam/Stroke/Supercharge a 5.7L where it's actually worth the gains.
A waste of cash as you will end up spending thousands on a vehicle not worth spending much money on other than for proper basic maintenance.
If you want better performance you will be much better off just buying an SV8 or SS and you won't have to mess with the engine.
a total waste of money or just go a basic sc kit and forget about the rest
Just wasting money, putting all of these $$$ into a car that ultimately won't redeliver your money back to you when you resell it.
Diff gears
Extractors
Maffless tune
I'd just get the plenum to manifold heat insulator there cost effective and when you sell the car you can take it off and sell it 2nd hand if you like.
All the other stuff won't do much to the car, I am baffled why anyone would want to replace a nice and quiet stainless exhaust with a steel one that will rust out and make your car noisy inside.
If you want to make the car nicer better look at power windows in the rear if it doesn't have them, window tint, leather steering wheel, hand brake and gear selector and the satin chrome interior parts and a stock 6 stacker, better speakers and if it doesn't have alloy wheels get a set of genuine 16" or 17" and some good tyres.
go buy a V8 bro. dont waste your money on a V6...
want to see more then a typical commodore fitted with an exhuast, then check my thread out... link broken cuase i dont own a tuff car, i just made it up...
thnx for all the posts......yeh might just keep it a stocky and buy a vz ss after the budget allows![]()
wise move and vzss are going for really cheap now
