Hi guys, I have a slight problem with the power??
Started off with doing some maintainance on the car on a saturday. I didnt turn it on until monday morning... (not a long time)...on monday when I tryed to turn the car on I couldnt so i had to jumpstart the bugger
some things i have is 6 disk stacker (no problems)
3 blown speakers
nothing else, no lights staying on nothing......???
anyone else have battery draining problems?!!??
1. Possible culprits:
Poorly wired aftermarket sound systems if fitted;
Front Seat motors not shutting off and drawing power (check the electric motor in the driver's seat) ;
Faulty power window switch not shutting off power;
Motor in a power window not shutting down;
Faulty after market alarm systems if fitted.
I assume you have a healthy battery. If it is over 3 years old it may be on it's last legs so get that checked also.
2. Now that the battery has been discharged, make sure to disconnect the battery and give it a full re-charge.
is it sedan??? maybe you left the boot ajar? ive done this before and its amazing how a boot light can draw that much power
sedan
no aftermarket sound system, the boot latch light turns off (all lights are turned off) brand new battery has been fully charged, took out the seat fuses, no alarm sys installed, window switch and window motors are in perfect nick and the light switch is set to O not auto.
i wouldnt have a clue whats draining the power ??

bad earth somewhere. may have knocked a earth while you were working on the car.
want to see more then a typical commodore fitted with an exhuast, then check my thread out... link broken cuase i dont own a tuff car, i just made it up...
I woudnt know about that kingston if i was doing oil change and took the driver seat out....
Not sure on what it could be, but above posts say boot light etc, Doesn't the boot, interior glove box etc. lights turn off after an hour?? I've left my boot wide open and after a while the light is off. I think VY/VZ this is a feature on all. Could be a fault in the BCM??
Hope you get it sorted soon mate.
yeah thnx guys only chance is to go to an auto electrician and see what & where the fault is.......this BCM i always hear about can someone tell me whats the function and where found??? i know it means Body Control Module but dont know too much about it?
