got myself a manual, says its for vt vx, can i use it for my vy?

hi guys, i got my self a cd copy of the holden manual for vt vx. it says its for vt vx.. didnt cost me anything, but i thought i might ask, but can i use this for my vy? or is the engine that much different, its useless to me?

well considering vt and vx are different but they use the same manual.. so yes you can use it for most things.. there may be little differences like ecu and interior/body but its all the same concept

pretty much, want to know, are brake bleeding, changing, oil changing process, most diagnostic problems, water pump change, engine stuff. i dont think i would mess around wt electrical\/computer problems anyway

The engine oil capacity is different as are the recommended service intervals. Things like the brakes etc are pretty much the same procedure. Interior especially the dash is different as is a lot of th ewiring, just compare the wiring under the bonnet on a VT/VX to a VY there is a fair amount of differenece.
