I have a pair of front King Spring from a VY SS v8 Ute and want to put them in my VY v6 Ute, with part number KHFL-47sl ... On the king spring website it states v8 as being khfl-48+ and v6 as khfl-47+ ... so are the springs i have v6 and someone put them in a v8 ??? Also if they are v8 does anyone know for sure what the effect would be using them on a v6 ??
For the front, yes it can be an issue. Sometimes it is sometimes it isnt. The difference is in the weight of the V8 engine and components compaired to the weight of a V6 engine and components. To drop each individual car down the same amount, the springs need to be different springrates or whatever the technical term for it is.
Most likely youll find the car wont go down as far as it would if you put a set of V6 springs in there. All be it between 5 and 10mm, somepeople notice the difference
Yea im aware it wont lower as much due to spring rate but my issue is more how the ride will be, if it will be more bouncy from the v8 springs etc
difference between a v6 spring and v8 spring in regard to ride quality are minimal and negligable. wont feel a difference one to the other
