Hi guys im new to the site and was just wanting some opinions on which Exhaust and extractors would give my 2003 vy s nice sound and performance, just dont want that tinny sound.
any advice would be great cheers
Have a look through the forum. Beleive it or not you're not the first person to ever contemplate this issue.
In short it's been covered about 6 million times.
Pacemaker extractors and a 2.5inch Redback or X-Force catback system. Can't go wrong.
My view the stock setup is good enough, the pipe and mufflers are stainless steel and will last for ages so why spend good money to change something that is more than good enough just so you can make your car noisy and annoy your neighbours. Been there done that, my advice learn from others mistakes. It won't make that much difference to your cars performance either and certainly there are more cost effective solutions if you want a bit more power. My car has a stock exhaust and it's ataying that way.
Mate go for a Lukey catback system, my mate had one on a vy s pack he use to own and is without a doubt imo the best sounding exhaust you can get out of an ecotec. As for the extractors I wouldn't really bother, however if you insist I'd again suggest either Lukey or pacemaker extractors but I'm sure all extractors would be relatively on par... Also search on youtube for a 'vy v6 with lukey exhaust', there's a good example on there from memory!
I got hurricane extractors on my 3inch system on my vy ss ute and I can't believe the extra power it punchs out and the roar is loud and tough the way I like it
save your $$ and buy an 8 lol
"If you want more inches.. STROKE it.."
"Wait are we still talking about cars!?"
