Ive got a VY2 V6 wagon and the missus borrowed it one day as she had no car. She picked me up and had a mate in the front seat so I hopped in the back for the first time since ive had the car. I cant believe how noisy the car is in the rear. The back was empty. Its like there is absoloutly no insulation in that area at all. There seems to be a heck of a lot of drivetrain noise even at slow speeds. I used to have an EL falcon wagon and it was never this loud.

I remember reading a post about a "veeer" sound a while back, which seems to be coming from under the car. If you open all your windows and drive in a quiet street, you can hear it at 60 km/h or so. Its like a dragging sound of some sort, like dragging a broom across concrete, constantly without stopping. Ive heard alot of commodores do this, some louder than others some not. It only makes this sound when driving.

Lastly, anyone notice how loud it is in the rear of the wagon? Or is it just mine? Im thinking about putting some dynamat above the tyrewell to dampen it a bit.
