Hey i was after some advice...
I want to purchase new rims and tyres shortly for my VY Berlina...im looking at either 19 inch or 20 diametre rims but im wondering whether or now the tyres will rub on the inside of the guards and likely how bad.
Also after getting 245 wide tyres...on either the 19 or 20 inch rim.
Just after some general direction as to what would be more suitable.
Cheers
20 inch would have to have maximum profile of 30 no more.
19 inch you can get away with 245/35/19 all round but they do come close to the strut towers.
19*8.5 with 245/35/19 is the best combo.
Hence 19 inch are a better choice unless you want to be paying mega bucks for 20 inch 30 series tyres.
i have 20's with 35profile and 245 wide. no rubbing at all. my cars lowred on lovells, i had to roll my rear guards when i did the camber kit on the rear. still doesnt rub.
want to see more then a typical commodore fitted with an exhuast, then check my thread out... link broken cuase i dont own a tuff car, i just made it up...
Yeah I have 235/35/20's on the front and 245/35/20's on the rear. With SL's and camber kit. Haven't hit the tyre walls at all since I've done the mods..
depends on how low it is stock height will be sweet
